to expand the search to include information that relates to what you
want
without knowing all the ways to say the same thing. It also provides the ability to refine a search
based upon those concepts.
Searching Example
A search
for the word “trunk” may return results for: 1)
tree trunk, 2) car trunk, 3)
elephant trunk, 4) shipping trunk.
Below
is an example of results that were found when searching for
“report,” as well
as an example of the “Refine” option in conceptuAL™,
which allows the user to refine a concept based upon its meaning. In addition to refining
the definitions found
for “report,” the user can select definitions based
upon grammatical findings (i.e., a
noun definition for “Send me the report,”
or a verb definition for “I
will report you to the
authorities.”).
There
are several
reasons traditional search tools simply use a much larger
“net” but still miss
